Steve Hillier is a platinum-selling songwriter and composer, recording artist and DJ.

Steve's work ranges from his acclaimed band Dubstar in the 1990s, to topline writing for contemporary artists including Flosstradamus, Trentemøller, Hannah Trigwell and Aryay (OWSLA). He releases new piano recordings under his own name, as well as GGGGHOST for his electronic music. As a producer and remixer, Steve has worked with a huge range of artists from Keane to Bananarama to Elkka, Bright Light Bright Light, Luvia, Dog in the Snow and many more...

As a DJ, Steve has a long pedigree of club residencies in Brighton, London, The North East of England and Marbella, Spain.

As a writer, Steve comments on music technology, music business and composition. His first published article, a computer program the reader could type into their Spectrum was published in Sinclair User at the age of twelve, and has since contributed to Music Technology magazine,  Future Music magazine, Computer Music magazine, and various podcasts and websites including BBC worldwide website. He also contributes to SonicTalk.

As an educationalist, Steve designs and delivers onsite and online degree-level courses, specialising in music composition, music business and music technology. He currently lectures on songwriting and creativity at undergraduate level at WATERBEAR Brighton.
